Calculating the exact number of days between two dates requires precision accounting for irregular calendar month lengths (28, 29, 30, and 31 days) and Gregorian leap years (every 4 years, excluding century years not divisible by 400).

By default, standard interval math calculates the difference between dates (e.g. June 1 to June 2 is 1 day). However, if you are booking a workshop or tracking leave where both the first day and last day are fully worked, check "Include End Day" to count both endpoints.
How are leap years accounted for?
Our calculation uses UTC timestamps to prevent daylight saving shifts (23 or 25-hour days) from distorting day counts. Any interval spanning February 29th in a leap year (e.g. 2024, 2028) automatically includes the 366th day.
